Woodland Walk

As part of the transformation of Twickenham Station, Solum is delivering a number of benefits to the local community, including the creation of a new pedestrian footpath through woodlands alongside the River Crane. The new path will open up public access to a length of the River Crane behind Twickenham Station, creating a new link from London Road to Moormead Park.

The proposed Woodland Walk will be provided through unmanaged woodland that is currently inaccessible to the public. The detailed plans have been developed with ecological and arboricultural experts and in collaboration with FORCE – Friends of the River Crane Environment - to protect and enhance the existing woodland and increase biodiversity, for example by providing bird and bat boxes to encourage local wildlife.

The footpath will serve as a nature trail and as a local educational resource, with plans including a viewing platform and interpretation boards with information about wildlife in the area.

You can find out more information about our plans for the Woodlands Walk along the River Crane here.
